The Lyme Alliance of the Berkshires is proud to announce that we are finally going to be holding meetings in both North County (Pittsfield, MA) and in South County (Great Barrington, MA). This move has been a longtime request that we are finally in the position to make a reality.
The South County Lyme Awareness Meeting (SCLAM) is considered part of the Lyme Alliance of the Berkshires and our organization fully supports SCLAM, both through our resources and through our network of allies and community connections.
Meetings will be facilitated by longtime community organizer and teacher Barbara Wells, who has so kindly volunteered to take the helm.
Monthly meetings will function within a freeform structure, with the main goal of SCLAM meetings being to promote healing through education and empowerment.
Meetings will be facilitated to create an atmosphere where the sharing of stories and valuable information among attendees is made possible, and to provide a non-judgmental safe haven for those suffering to openly speak about their experiences and to learn from other’s experiences as well.
We also seek to fuel the growth of a caring and passionate volunteer force dedicated to making a difference in the community, by providing the infrastructure to make such projects possible.
